A special meeting of the Council for the City of Crystal Falls was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. Central Time.

Present: Mayor Hendrickson, Councilors Thrasher, Valesano, Heikkinen, and Stachowicz.

Absent: None

Also present were City Manager Nordeman, Attorney Lawrence, and City Clerk/Treasurer Olson.

The purpose of this special meeting was to conduct a periodic personnel evaluation of the City Manager.

Mayor Hendrickson led everyone in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Councilor Valesano seconded by Councilor Thrasher moved to meet in a closed session pursuant to the Michigan Open Meetings Act, P.A. 1976, No. 267, 15.268, Section 8 (a) as requested by Manager Nordeman.

Motion carried.

Meeting moved into closed session at 4:31 p.m.

Meeting reconvened at 6:00 p.m.

Mayor Hendrickson seconded by Councilor Thrasher moved to direct Attorney Lawrence to draft a letter of censure to City Manager Charles Nordeman regarding the issue of tickets. (This motion was corrected to read as such at the January 9, 2006 meeting of the Council.)

Ayes: Mayor Hendrickson and Councilor Thrasher

Nays: Councilors Valesano, Stachowicz, and Heikkinen

Motion failed.

Councilor Thrasher seconded by Councilor Valesano moved to adjourn this special meeting of the City Council.

Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 6:02 p.m.
