A special meeting of the Council for the City of Crystal Falls was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 4:30 p. m. Central Time.

Present: Mayor Sabo, Councilors Hendrickson, Thrasher, Benda and Koszyk.

Also present were City Manager Nordeman, City Attorney Lawrence, City Clerk/Treasurer Olson, and the following City employees: Angelo Diqui, Mark Simeoni, Larry Bicigo, Gerard Valesano, and Tom Stachowicz.

The purpose of this special meeting was to conduct a workshop session regarding revisions to the personnel policy for City employees.

Councilor Thrasher seconded by Council Benda moved to add the contract for "Right of Entry to Drill Exploratory Wells with Option and Offer to Purchase Real Property" with Ron Paquette to the agenda for this meeting.

Ayes: Mayor Sabo, Councilors: Thrasher, Benda, Koszyk, and Hendrickson.

Nays: None

Motion carried.

Councilor Thrasher seconded by Councilor Benda moved to approve the "Right of Entry to Drill Exploratory Wells with Option and Offer to Purchase Real Property" with Ron Paquette, and further, to authorize Mayor Sabo and Clerk Olson to execute said contract.

Motion carried.

The Council then began to review the Personnel Policy Article by Article. The Council and employees shared their thoughts and exchanged ideas on the proposed revisions and Clerk Olson was directed to make various changes and submit copies of the revised policy to the Council for consideration at the March 8, 2004 meeting.

Councilor Koszyk seconded by Councilor Benda moved to cease reimbursement of CDL license fees to the City employees.

Ayes: Mayor Sabo, Councilors: Benda, Koszyk, Hendrickson, and Thrasher.

Nays: None

Motion carried.

Councilor Koszyk seconded by Councilor Benda moved to accept Article XI as revised with the exception of paragraph 4.

Ayes: Mayor Sabo, Councilors: Koszyk, Hendrickson, Thrasher and Benda.

Nays: None

Motion carried.

Councilor Koszyk seconded by Councilor Benda moved to adjourn this special meeting of the Council at 7:02 p.m.

Motion carried.
