A special meeting of the Council for the City of Crystal Falls was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall on Friday, February 22, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time.

Present: Mayor Cram, Councilors Hendrickson, Nylund, Benda and Lind.

Also present were City Manager Nordeman, City Attorney Lawrence and City Clerk/Treasurer Olson.

The purpose of this special meeting was to take action on the sale of real estate property to Baraga Telephone, Co.

Mayor Cram led all present in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Councilor Nylund supported by Councilor Benda moved to accept the negotiated price of $26,500.00 from Baraga Telephone Co. and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the deed for the parcel of land described as: all that part of the NW ¼ of the NE ¼, Section 30, Township 43 North, Range 32 West, beginning at a point 33 feet North and 543.7 feet West of the Southeast corner of said NW ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 30, Township 43 North, Range 32 West, said POINT OF BEGINNING being on the North right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 2 as now located; thence North 150 feet; thence West 50 feet; thence South 150 feet, more or less, to North right-of-way line of U.S. Highway No. 2; thence East along said right-of-way line a distance of 50 feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

There being no other items on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 10:08 a.m.
