A special meeting of the Council for the City of Crystal Falls was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall on Thursday, November 29, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time.

Present: Mayor Cram, Councilors Hendrickson, Benda, Nylund and Lind.

Absent: Attorney Lawrence

Also present were City Manager Nordeman and City Clerk/Treasurer Olson.

The purpose of this special meeting was to review the 2001 – 2002 Fire Authority Budget and also to conduct discussion regarding the Fire Authority agreement between the City of Crystal Falls and the Township of Crystal Falls.

Councilor Lind supported by Councilor Nylund, moved to approve the first quarter of the 2001-2002 Fire Authority Budget as presented to the City Council and to continue negotiations with Crystal Falls Township for a long term Fire Authority Agreement.

Motion carried.

Councilor Lind supported by Councilor Hendrickson moved to have City Manager Nordeman and Mayor Cram negotiate with Crystal Falls Township toward the development of a new Fire Authority Agreement.

Ayes: Mayor Cram, Councilors Nylund, Hendrickson & Lind

Nays: Councilor Benda

Motion carried.

Councilor Lind supported by Councilor Benda moved to adjourn the special meeting of the Crystal Falls City Council.

Motion carried.
