A special meeting of the Council for the City of Crystal Falls was held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 5:00 pm Central Time.

Present: Mayor Hendrickson, Councilors Heikkinen, Smokevitch, and Bicigo.

Absent: None

Also present were: City Manager Nordeman, City Attorney Lawrence, City Clerk/Treasurer Olson.

Visitors in attendance were: David Graff, Attorney Robert Rosemurgy, Mark Simeoni, and Mary Lahna.

The purpose of this special meeting was to conduct discussion regarding IBEW contract negotiations.

Mayor Hendrickson led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Hendrickson seconded by Councilor Heikkinen moved to meet in closed session pursuant to P.A. 1976, No. 267, 15.268, Section 8 (c), for a strategy session regarding the negotiations of the union contract with the electric dept employees.

Motion carried.

Meeting reconvened at 5:47p.m.

Councilor Heikkinen seconded by Mayor Hendrickson moved that the IBEW contract, as agreed to during the mediation, be adopted with a term of one (1) year (October 1, 2008 - September 30, 2009).

Ayes: Mayor Hendrickson, Councilors: Heikkinen, Smokevitch, and Bicigo. Nays: None Absent: None

Motion carried.

Councilor Heikkinen seconded by Mayor Hendrickson moved that this meeting be adjourned.

Motion carried.
