ORDINANCE NO. 2.04

AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING PARTIAL DISMANTLING OF ICE BOXES AND REFRIGERATORS

THE CITY OF CRYSTAL FALLS ORDAINS:

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to have in possession either inside or outside of any building, structure or dwelling in a place accessible to children, any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice box, refrigerator, or any other container of any kind which has an air tight, snap latch, or other locking device thereon, without first removing the snap latch or other locking device, or the doors from such ice box, refrigerator, or other container.

Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $100, or imprisonment for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court. Each day such violation is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take immediate effect to provide for the usual daily operation of the City as outline in Sec. 8.3b of the City Charter; further, this is only an edited and renumbered version of an ordinance previously adopted.
