ORDINANCE NO. 2.07 ANIMAL NUISANCE ORDINANCE THE CITY OF CRYSTAL FALLS ORDAINS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any owner to fail to exercise proper care and control of his domestic animals to prevent them from becoming a public nuisance. Excessive, continuous or untimely barking or other disturbing noises, molesting passersby, chasing vehicle, habitually attacking other domestic animals, trespassing upon school grounds, or trespassing upon private property in such manner as to damage property, shall be deemed a nuisance. Section 2. No proceedings shall be instituted to enforce this ordinance unless a complaint is signed by at least two (2) adult persons of different households and who are not related, and investigated by the City of Crystal Falls Police Department. Section 3. A. Any person violating this ordinance shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction, subject to the payment of civil fines of $50.00 plus costs, for the first violation. B. Any repeat offense shall be subject to increased
fines, as follows: 2. A fine for any second repeated offense or any subsequent repeated offense shall be no less than $250.00 plus cost. Section 4. This ordinance shall take immediate effect to provide for the usual daily operation of the City as outlined in Sec. 8.3b of the City Charter; further, this is merely a renumbering of an ordinance previously adopted.
